You’re on the verge of tears. You think you can hold it in. Then someone notices you aren’t yourself, they know you’re going to cry. They ask you, “What’s wrong?” you swallow hard, that pain in your throat, the tears form in your eyes, your face is hot, your lip starts to quiver, you know you’re going to cry… and your words are choked as you quietly say, “nothing. I’m fine.”
